The VisitScotland Field Sports Welcome Scheme was launched on September 10th by MSP Murdo Fraser with talks by Colin Houston of VisitScotland Quality Assurance Team, Richard Cooke of the ADMG and Alistair Rutherford of the SCSTG. Award presentations were made to the Dunkeld Hilton House Hotel, East Haugh Hotel and Alvie Estate who are the first accommodation providers to be assessed and to receive the Field Sports Welcome award.

The Field Sports Welcome Scheme has been created by VisitScotland and the SCSTG to improve facilities and services offered by accommodation providers for the Sporting Shooting and Stalking guest market.
